I chose EC Bristol because I knew that it had just started and there were not many students there. I think I made a right decision. Because the school is not so big, all students know each other and teachers can take care of students more deeply. The big schools have many strong points as well but I like the atmosphere here so far. If you are looking for small and friendly school, EC Bristol can be a good choice. Besides the school Bristol is a good place to live. Bristol is not as crowded as London but also not as quiet as other small towns in Britain. Before I came to Bristol, I thought Bristol was just a small town where is very quiet and boring and I expected London would be more exciting. But after I arrived here and spent a few weeks, I have changed my mind. I found Bristol is nice and I even want to stay here longer by changing my course schedule which was supposed to be in London. If you are a person who doesn’t like both big city and small town you will like Bristol.

Bristol is a comfortable city where you go everywhere walking. I chose EC School after analysing another four other schools. I was studying in one of them and I wasn't happy with the result. I needed to optimize my time and I know now, six weeks after studying in EC school, that I've done the right choice.

It was greater than I thought, to be honest. My stay in Bristol for 6 months was amazing! EC Bristol is small and friendly school. Good location in a park called Queen Square, in the city centre where a lot of events or festival at every weekend.

Everyday I take classes in New beautiful building, with big windows, where I met a lot of excellent teachers.

I had a great time with my new friends. Had lunch on a grass at Queens Square, went shopping at Carbot Circus and enjoyed going to events and festivals during the weekends.

I got a lot of great memories and improved English skills. Having lessons at EC Bristol was the best choice.

Bristol England

Teacher Testimonial
I have worked as an English teacher for three years in the Czech republic, Italy and Portugal. I started the job because I love travelling but found I genuinely love teaching, and now my family and friends have bought me back to England. I love the interesting people I meet in the job and the sense of satisfaction I get when I hear my students progressing and communicating in English. For me there is no better feeling than meeting a student but not being able to talk about much and then chattering away with them a month later. In my spare time I am a musician, I play the saxophone and am a singer-songwriter. I also like running and hope to one day run a marathon but will start by doing another half-marathon.

I've just finished my 6 months EC Bristol. I've learnt lots of things about how to meet people, be open minded and the English culture. I improved my English. In particular, my speaking and my listening. EC Bristol allowed me to meet loads of amazing people from everywhere in the world: Spanish, Italian, and Colombian…It's one of the best experiences I've had. After I finished High School, I knew that I needed to improve my English. I will never regret my choice. You can make amazing friendships, improve your English and live in a country with a different culture.

Brisol UK

Teacher Testimonial
I have been teaching English for 10 years and have worked at EC since 2003. Before I joined EC I spent some time teaching in Bolivia where I worked with University students and young people, it was a great learning experience and the reason I decided to continue teaching in the UK. When I teach I still get the same sense of excitement before a lesson and satisfaction afterwards that I did ten years ago. As well as this freshness, working at EC has given me the opportunity to meet all sorts of people from all over the world and it has been the people that have meant no two weeks in my time here have been the same. As a result of this diversity I am particularly interested in the way individual learners can be helped to realise their full potential as part of a group. When I am not working I spend most of my time with my family but when I get the chance I enjoy playing and watching football (in that order), live music, cooking for friends, cycling and reading the Sunday papers with a good cup of coffee.
