nberrie recommends the Language School ECELA Viña del Mar.
I was really nervous about attending classes at Ecela because I am in my 30s and thought that I may not be able to relate to the other students. However, nobody cared about my age. I made lifelong friends and truly had the time of my life. Viña del Mar is a beautiful town, right on the ocean...it’s safe and Chilean people are really friendly. I learned so much at Ecela that I went from speaking basic ’Spanglish’ to being able to carry on fluent conversations with my host family and my friends. The teachers are all very patient and they make the classes really entertaining. I highly recommend this school!! And I miss it so much that I want to go back!

estudiar en Ecela Viña del Mar fue la mejor experiencia que tuve de vacaciones!
-estudie y aprendí mucho, los profesores son los mejores que hay(tienen interés en ayudar/enseñar)
-también fue muy entretenido estar allá, siempre hay actividades distintas, conocí a muchas personas extranjeras y de Chile que ahora son grandes amigos míos.
-la ciudad me encanta y es muy cerca de Valparaíso.
-quedé en una casa con una familia maravillosa! fui con mi familia a Santiago algunas veces y a otras playas y ciudad cerca.

I love the ECELA program!!! I attended the schools in Vina del Mar Chile, Mendoza Argentina, and Lima Peru. It was such a great learning environment and they were able to accommodate my learning difference, Dyslexia. The professors and people in the communities were great, in fact I am headed back this Christmas because I miss them! I highly recommend ECELA, it changed my life in 3 months.

I had a great time during my 4 month experience with ECELA, and the school/my studies were also incredibly helpful for advancing my Spanish abilities and fluency.
I spent a semester abroad studying in the ECELA immersion program, and the teachers were so helpful and knowledgeable that I went from being a basic level nearly begginer Spanish-speaker (I knew traveler´s Spanish only and basic grammar) in level A2... to the end when I achieved an upper level advanced fluency in level C2! I was so excited to learn quickly and easily with the help of ECELA and being immersed in Spanish culture, because I had tried to learn in the past back in the USA with little success or luck.
ECELA is truely the ’camina del exito’ or pathway to success, and I would highly reccomend it to other students! I also had a great time traveling with the students and participating in the school sponsored activities and field trips, and I made many new close friends during my time in the school and on my travels.
Thank you for everything ECELA, and I hope that you continue providing high quality learning services to students and developing fluent Spanish speakers for years to come.

In ECELA Viña del Mar I felt like home! It is a very small school, possible to everyone knows each other! I would sure come back! I just do not recommend choosing student apartment as your accommodation, as they are not school owned and there is no interactivity in the house!

I arrived in Chile for a two month stay with my father and daughter. My father was supposed to have plans figured out, but, things fell through for us. We heard about Ecela from an expat who had recently arrived in Chile.
I contacted them and visited the school. My daughter and I began classes. The classes really helped us and we were able to work on our language skills and learn about the country.
It really helped us to learn how to navigate the country and plan activities for the remainder of our stay.

En ECELA aprendes mucho español y te diviertas en las clases, también. Los profesores son simpaticos y te ayudan con todos tus dudas y problemas. Siempre hay actividades y excursiones en la tarde y si quieres hacer algo especial les puedes decirlo a los profesores y ellos van a ver si es posible.
En total tenía un muy buen tiempo en la ECELA Viña del Mar y tengo contactos con algunos de la escuela.
